Corfu International Airport or Ioannis Kapodistrias airport, named after Ioannis Kapodistrias distinguished Corfiot European diplomat and first Governor of Greece, is the airport on the Greek island of Corfu (Kerkyra), serving both scheduled and charter flights from European cities. The airport is located around 3 kilometres south of Corfu Town and around 40 kilometres south to Kassiopi (approx 1 hour driving). The most popular charter flights to Corfu are Mondays and Fridays but Easyjet offer flights from London Gatwick (LGW), Manchester and Bristol direct to Corfu almost every day. There is also a daily domestic service from Athens and four times a week from Thessaloniki. Domestic Flights This is sometimes the only option if you wish to visit Corfu before the start of the summer season. It can be done either via Athens or Thessaloniki.
